In a large bowl, sift together, the baking soda, baking powder, flour and spices, set aside.
In another bowl, cream the butter, together with the sour cream and the egg yolks, set aside.
In another bowl, beat the egg whites until foamy, add the sugar (but kinds mixed together) little by little and mix until forms stiff peaks, set aside.
Add the flour mixture to the egg yolk mixture, mix until well blended.
Fold the egg whites into the flour mixture with a spatel, carefully just until blended.
Pour the batter into a greased baking pan (26 cm diameter) and bake on a previously pre-heated oven at 180°C for around 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center
of the cake comes out clean.
