Spider Cupcakes

Ingredients:
For the cupcakes:
Flour, 112 gr
Cocoa powder, 50 gr
Baking powder, 1/4 tsp
Salt, 1/4 tsp
Unsalted butter (room temp), 115 gr
Sugar, 115 gr
Brown sugar, 50 gr
Egg, 1
Egg yolk, 1
Vanilla extract, 1/2 tsp
Sour cream, 120 ml
Bitter sweet chocolate (melted), 60 gr
Strong coffee, 1/4 cup
M & M's (what is left from the decoration)
For the decoration:
M&M's , 72
Nutella (for frosting the cupcakes)
Chocolate sprinkles
Large Marshmallows, 24 (halved)
Licorice laces (in black, we used also color ones, cut in fourths)
Preparation:
For the cupcakes:
Prepare a muffin pan with muffin cups.
Mix together the flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and the salt.
In a large bowl beat the butter at medium speed until soft and creamy.
Add the sugars and beat for about 2 minutes, until it's blended into the butter,
add the egg, then the yolk.
Beat in the vanilla and add 1/2 of the dry ingredients, mixing only until they
disapear.
Add the sour cream and coffee, mixing until incorporated, then mix in the
remaining dry ingredients.
Add the melted chocolate, and the M & M's then devide the batter among the
muffin molds.
Bake for around 20 minutes at 180 degrees celcius or until the tops of the cakes
are dry and a knife inserted into their centres
comes out clean.
Cool the muffins to room temperature before glazing.
For the decoration:
Frost the cupcakes with the Nutella, then coat the tops with the chocolate
sprinkles.
With help of the nutella (using it like a kind of glue) attach the M & M's to
the marshmallows.
Again with some nutella attach the marshmallows to the cupcake (also attach the
nose in the same way).
Using a toothpick poke holes in the sides of the cupcakes.
Insert the legs (licorice, 4 in each side).
